An earthquake of moderate intensity shook Assam, Meghalaya and Manipur at 7:15 am on Wednesday.

The earthquake measured 5.9 on the Richter Scale and lasted for a couple of seconds, Meteorological sources said.
The epicentre of the quake was located on the Indo-Myanmar border.
There are no reports of any damage so far.
