Eight CRPF personnel were injured on Wednesday, four of them seriously, in a landmine blast triggered by maoists in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, officials said.

Two officers, a Second-In-Command and a Deputy Commandant besides six jawans were injured near Aranpur village under Kirandul police station area, about 500 kms from the state capital in a landmine blast, officials told.
The incident took place about three kms from Aranpur when the CRPF party of eight personnel was on a road clearance operation on Wednesday, sources said.
Four jawans, who were seriously injured, are being shifted to Jagdalpur, the divisional headquarters of Bastar region.
Both officers and two other constables are undergoing treatment in Aranpur, where the CPRF has a base camp, they said.
