“More than 50 people used this app to upload either a photo or a video featuring a violation - mostly pertaining to distributing liquor or money,” said Ankur Srivastava from the party’s IT cell. The evidence was then mailed to the EC.

The app was launched a while back but saw a rise in use among users in the last few days of campaigning.

AAP volunteers also directly called the EC’s helpline to take action.”They have been extremely good with their responses, sometimes within 10 minutes,” said Pankaj Gupta, AAP’s national secretary. Violators in areas such as Jungpura, Kondli and Palika Dham have been caught in the act as a result.
