Quoting government sources, The News reported that the Abu Dhabi Cricket Council (ADCC) has sent the invitation from the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Nahayan for the two matches to be played at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

The UAE is hosting a cricket series after a gap of more then five years and the proceeds from the first match of the series would be got towards providing relief to the victims of last year's earthquake.

"There are good chances that the president might attend the matches because the first game is being held to raise funds for the victims of the October 8 earthquake that caused a lot of devastation in northern Pakistan and some parts of India," the daily quoted a source as saying.

"Pakistan has very close relations with the UAE and the Abu Dhabi ruler Sheikh Nahayan and Musharraf is expected to accept this invitation," the source said.
