THE LOCAL unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today held a demonstration at the Government Homoeopathy College demanding the principal’s removal.
The Parishad has claimed that the Bhopal District Court has held the appointment of Dr S K Mishra null and void and the government is in contempt of court by retaining him. ABVP National Executive Member Anil Singh has alleged that Dr Mishra is not eligible for the post. He became principal by providing false information and documents. His appointment has also flouted rules of seniority.
The Parishad has alleged that the principal of Hanhemann Homoeopathy College has denied documental claims of Dr Mishra working there between July 1, 1988 and March 3, 1992.
Dr Mishra had also attended the meeting of Government Homoeopathy College Executive Committee as its secretary for the selection of principal. A proper selection committee should have made the selection, Singh said.
ABVP has threatened to intensify its agitation if the principal is not removed immediately. Anupam Mishra, Manish Pandeya, Saurabh Jain, Prem Prakash, Vyomkesh Shukla, Jitendra Bagri and others participated in the demonstration today.
