In a press release issued here, the ABVP said the Congress-led UPA Government is adopting politics of appeasement to increase its vote bank. Its stand of making reservation on basis of religion instead of talent in education is contempt of court and the violation of Constitution. The Parishad said the erstwhile Indira Gandhi led Government also made same effort in 1981.
Saying that making statements regarding provision of minority status to AMU despite the ruling of Allahabad High Court is a clear contempt, the organisation has demanded that a case of contempt of court be filed against Singh and he be removed from the Union Cabinet.
