Bheem Singh was declared dead by the doctors as soon as he was taken to the Kalyani Hospital on MG Road, after sustaining injuries in an accident at Maharana Pratap Chowk on Thursday afternoon, the police said.

Singh’s family alleged that his life could have been saved had he been given proper treatment. They scuffled with the doctors and damaged windows and furniture of the hospital. It took one hour to control the situation, a police officer said.

“No complaint has been lodged by the hospital administration against anyone as of now. If we get a complaint, we will take an action as per the law,” the officer said.

Dr Subhash Khanna of Kalyani Hospital said the man was brought dead. He added, “First, we tried to revive him, but later we realised that he was brought dead.”
