Bharatiya Janata Party patriarch LK Advani said on Sunday that the BJP and Shiv Sena must form the government in Maharashtra together, adding that he could do the “patch-up” job if they ask him to.

While talking to reporters, he said that the BJP should not form an alliance with the NCP and stressed on the need for the BJP-Sena alliance to be formed once more
“When both the BJP and the Shiv Sena decided to contest the polls on their own in Maharashtra, I was personally unhappy with this. Both the parties have had a strong friendship in the past and now again after the results both must get together,” he said.
The senior leader added that Maharashtra is an important state and he would do his best to ensure the government is formed under the BJP.
He also congratulated the party for their victory in the Haryana assembly polls.
Advani and his wife were in Amritsar on Sunday to visit the Dera Radha Soami headquarters.
