Speaking to reporters in Nagapattinam on Thursday evening, state general secretary of the party N Varadharajan expressed doubt over the impartiality of the police to be posted inside polling booths and sought police from other state to be assigned for the job.
Varadharajan alleged that the ruling party was using electricity for poll-related work without paying for it even as electricity board officials remained helpless.
Varadharajan said his alliance has already informed the Election Commission about the alleged interference by the BJP and the AIADMK in entering and removing names from the voters' list even after the expiry of deadline.
He said when the matter was brought before the state election officials who denied of having received any such complaints.
