Air-India Express plans Gulf flights

Air India Express plans to start operations from some southern cities to the Gulf and West Asia sometime soon. The low-cost public sector carrier will operate on these routes at 30 per cent lower fares than the regular ones, according to Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel.

“With fares to be 30 per cent less, this service will be started from some places in South India,” the minister told the newly constituted Parliamentary Consultative Committee attached to the Civil Aviation Ministry.
