According to the district officials, five watch towers, two teams of snuffer dogs have been pressed into action to curb the possibility of any untoward incident.

The administration has made elaborate arrangements for peaceful commencement of the festival. Traffic has been diverted and round-the-clock vigil is being maintained on and around the temple premises.

According to the district officials, five watch towers, two teams of snuffer dogs, five circle officers, six sub-divisional magistrates and 16 police station in-charges have been pressed into action to curb the possibility of any untoward incident.
Circle officer Dinesh Kumar Tripathi has been made in-charge of the mela. A police team has been deployed on the temple premises to diffuse bombs and a special search will be conducted three times in the day. Two companies of the PAC and 350 police constables are also deployed to maintain peace.
Meanwhile, superintendent of police (City) Dilip Kumar has directed the officials to divert traffic. The entry of heavy vehicles from Tarang crossing to Gorakhnath temple has been restricted. Traffic from Farenda side will be diverted to Bargadwa and Mohaddipur till January 26.
The railway administration has started two special trains from Nautanwa to Gorakhpur to provide assistance to devotees from Friday to Sunday.
Head priest of the temple Mahant Avaidyanath said NGOs and the local administration have made preparations for the convenience of the devotees, and a close circuit television has been installed to monitor the activities of the people.
He said the temple administration has made special arrangements for the night stay of devotees on the temple premises, dharmshala and Sanskrit schools free of charge.
