All vehicles lead to Surajkund fair, cause major traffic jams

The officials said Saturday's footfall touched 50,000 and the number may double on Sunday.
There was a huge traffic jam on Surajkund Road from Anangpur chowk up to the fair site.
The situation was no different towards Prehladpur and the shooting range area with all vehicles leading to Surajkund.
A number of VVIPs visited the fair on Saturday. Among them was Justice AK Sikri, Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana high court.
The Faridabad Police had put in place elaborate security arrangements in the mela.
The entire area is being covered with CCTV cameras.
President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the mela on February 2, a day after it opened.
Artists and craftsmen from about two dozen countries are showcasing their art, craft, cuisine, culture and traditions of their countries. Karnataka is theme state this year.
