Samajwadi Party national general secretary, Amar Singh dared Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati to arrest and file more cases against him. He also warned her that he is a Pandora's Box of sorts about her 'misdeeds' and should not be stirred. He also gave a DVD to the Governor that contains 'details of illegal activities of Mayawati'.

Singh said this in a press conference he held in Lucknow here on Monday in context of the FIR against him by Shiv Kumar Tiwari who is considered close to Mayawati government officers and ministers. The FIR accused Amar Singh of money laundering in the some companies he is associated with. The FIR had been lodged against Singh, his wife Pankaja and actor Amitabh Bachchan in Babupurwa a week ago.

Earlier in a meeting with the Governor, BL Joshi, he requested that an inquiry be instituted by central agencies into the conspiracy hatched by Mayawati, Navneet Sehgal (secretary to the CM), BSP minister Babusingh Kushwaha, and the complainant Shiv Kumar Tiwari through the FIR and take action against them.

Calling Mayawati a 'corporate illiterate' and 'murkh' (a fool), Amar Singh said that the activities on which the FIR was filed were all financial transactions and not money laundering. "All those activities for increase in share-capital were legal and approved by the board of directors of those companies, the Company Law Board and the concerned High Court (Kolkata-as the companies are all Kolkata based)."

He told the Governor that he has detailed information of illegal activities of Mayawati whereby she was collecting money from different sources and converting it into 'white money' with the help of Bahujan Samaj Party.

"It is evident by mere perusal of DVD that she is running her political party as a fund collector company with help of her so called party workers. I am also submitting details of sale, transfer and purchase of properties by Mayawati to establish the misuse of political party by her for personal financial gain," he said to the Governor.

Daring Mayawati to arrest him, Amar Singh he told newspersons: "I will provide her all details of my share-holdings in various comapnies be it Mukesh Ambani's company, Infosys, NTPC or ONGC. She can lodge criminal FIRs against all of them in Babupurwa police station (Kanpur) and have me arrested."

Singh said increase in share-capital with mutual consent of different companies and share-holders, and mergers with consent of jurisdiction of High Court concerned was a legal process. He cited examples of Mukesh Ambani acquiring Rs 15,000 crore worth of shares in his own company and Infosys' chief mentor Narayan Murthy withdrawing Rs 200 crore from his company for promoting venture capitalists.

"Is Mayawati above Income Tax department, the union government's Company Affairs Ministry or the High Court where such a deal is registered?" he asked. Then he added: "Of course we forget the she does not care about judiciary anyways."

Circulating call details of the Shivakant Tripathi (who filed the FIR), Amar Singh said: "I have information that responsible officers of Mayawati government (he took Navneet Sehgal's name) and her cohorts (Babusingh Kushwaha and Akhilesh Das) were in touch with him for a long time for hatching the conspiracy against me, my family members and associates to cause damage to our image and financial losses to those companies and its shareholders."

He also played a DVD that showed 'fund raising' of Mayawati at the press conference. Amar Singh said that Mayawati must resign.
