"We have filed an application in the pending petition relating to the circulation of the CD," Singh's counsel Pradeep Kumar said.
The TV channels have not aired the CD and are seeking judicial permission before doing the same.
Amar Singh had asked TV channels not to air the contents but to hand over the CD to the Supreme Court.
The CD contains his conversations with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav, Anil Ambani and unnamed actresses.
