American appointed CEO of Goldman Sachs

Brooks Entwistle has been appointed the CEO of Goldman Sachs (India) LLC following a recent stint in Hong Kong.

Brooks Entwistle has been appointed the CEO of Goldman Sachs (India) LLC.

According to a company release, Enwistle will coordinate the entire business of Goldman Sachs' in India. He will also serve as the firm's board representative in a joint venture with Kotak Mahindra in the investment banking and equities business.

His work will entail sourcing investment opportunities to India and working with the leadership team of the Goldman Sachs Service Centre in Bangalore, which has a significant presence in India and employs over 850 people.

Entwistle joined the company in 1989 as an analyst in New York and rejoined as an associate in 1995. He has twice been based in Asia on behalf of Goldman Sachs, most recently serving in Hong Kong during 1998-2003.
