UP MINISTER YAQOOB Qureshi’s Rs 51 crore cash reward for anyone who kills the Danish cartoonist for ridiculing Prophet Mohammad seems to have ‘inspired’ some Hindus to toe similar line.

Ashok Pandey, chairman of the All-India Hindu Personal Law Board, not only supported Qureshi’s call but went one step ahead and announced Rs 101 crore reward for killing MF Husain who depicted “Mother India in an objectionable posture.” Talking to HT, Pandey said Hussain was in the habit of insulting Hindu Gods.

An emergency meeting of the board’s executive body was convened on Tuesday to take up the issue.

The committee decided to support Qureshi’s demand and announced Rs 101 crore for Husain’s scalp besides weighing the assailant in diamonds on accomplishing the task, and Rs 51 crore for Qureshi if he killed the Danish cartoonist himself.
