Major Irrigation projects - Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, Prakasham Barrage in Vijayawada, Vamshadhara and Penna. Polavram on Godavari and Pulichintala on Krishna coming up.

Power Generation Projects - Vijayawada Thermal Power station (VTPS), Rayalaseema Thermal Prower station (RTPS), Nagarjuna Sagar Hydel power project, Srisailam Power Generation project and Sileru Hydel project.

Major industries - Godavari Fertilizers, Vizag steel, Hindustan Ship Yard. Hindustan Petroleum Refinery, Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels. BHEL-NTPC venture coming up at Mannavaram in Chittor dist. Several major ports - Vizag, Kakinada, Krishnapatnam etc.
