Andhra ministers ask Cong HC to fix CLP meeting date

Some of the ministers in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet on Sunday requested the Congress high command to hold a legislature party (CLP) meeting after the mourning period over the death of YS Rajsekhara Reddy ends.

Some of the ministers in the Andhra Pradesh cabinet on Sunday requested the Congress high command to hold a legislature party (CLP) meeting after the mourning period over the death of YS Rajsekhara Reddy ends.

"After the mourning period is over, we are expecting anytime the high command will decide the CLP meeting's date," A Ramanarayan Reddy told reporters after taking oath as minister afresh.

Ending three days of confusion, all 34 ministers of the erstwhile Cabinet of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy were on Sunday sworn in afresh as required under the Constitution in the wake of K Rosaiah taking over as chief minister.

Replying to a query, the minister said, "We are requesting the high command to hold the CLP meeting".

Andhra Pradesh announced a seven-day mourning on Thursday after Rajasekhara Reddy was killed in a helicopter crash.
