The Deputy Superintendent of Police for local office of Anti Corruption Nand Lal Yadav said the action was initiated on the complaint of a trader Subhash Chandra who had taken a loan of Rs 87,500 from a bank for business. Since the trader could not pay up, the Tehsil issued a Recovery Certificate (RC).
After that, the Amin asked the trader for a bribe of Rs 2,000 to cause delay in realising the dues.
The trader lodged a complaint with the office of Anti-Corruption on Wednesday afternoon and in the evening, the Amin was nabbed by the sleuths, the Dy SP said.
It may be noted that an assistant manager of the Social Welfare department had also been caught red-handed by the same team of Anti-Corruption Department from Kuchehry area on Tuesday.
