The subject will have two papers of 35 marks each along with a practical of 30 marks. The pass percentage for the subject has been fixed at 33. It is mandatory for a student to get at least 23 marks in written and 10 marks in practical paper.
The details of the course relating to anthropology have been discussed but no particular book for classes IX to XII have been suggested which can help the students in the study of the subject. However, four to five books have been described for each class in the government gazette. Therefore, for complete course the student may be forced to buy two or three books, thus incurring additional financial burden.
The government has permitted the school managements to appoint teachers for the subject. The teacher should have a post-gradate degree in anthropology and be a trained teacher.
