Reacting on the budget, Chautala said that the UPA government had now rubbed salt on the wounds of people by increasing the excise duty and service tax which would result in further escalate the prices of all the commodities.

Stating that the prices of gadgets such as phones, refrigerators, liquid petroleum gas, fertilizers, diesel, would further shoot up, Chautala said that the budget was not only anti-commonman but also anti-farmer, anti-women and anti-youth.

Stating that the exemption limit in income tax upto Rs 2 lakh was negligible, Chautala said that the budget had disappointed all the sections of the society. The budget was meaningless and directionless and it had failed to check the increasing unemployment, inflation, blackmarketeering, hoarding and corruption, he added.
