AOC-in-C visits IAF training school

AIR MARSHAL VK Gokhle, AVSM VM and Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Training Command of India Air Force, along with Meghna Gokhle, president of Air Force Wives Welfare Association, arrived here at the Air Force Station, Gorakhpur on a two-day visit on Saturday. Air Commodore KG Kumar, Air Officer Commanding in Air Force Station, Gorakhpur welcomed him.

Gokhle visited Jaguar Tetra School, one of the premier technical training schools of Indian Air Force, which imparts technical training to aeronautical engineers, technicians and pilots of the Indian Air Force.

Gokhle also interacted with Wing Commander S Tandon, commanding officer of JTS, instructors and trainees of the school.KG Kumar said that Gokhle was commissioner in Indian Air Force in June 1968 in a fighter stream and he had flown over 3,500 hours on a variety of combat and trainer aircraft. He said the Air Marshal had been in active operation during the 1971 Indo-Pak hostilities.
