Official sources said on Thursday that the working committee of the Apunba Lup, an amalgam of Manipuri organisations, would be allowed to observe the international human rights day on Friday, but no public rally would be allowed.

The Lup had earlier set December 10 as the deadline for lifting of the act from the entire state, the sources said. Taking out public rally would create law and order problem in the state, they added.

No comment was available from Apunba Lup leaders.
