Arbaaz turns bad for good?
Arbaaz Khan's bad guy act in Qayamat has producers lining up outside his door, even as he makes his TV debut with Karishma.
Being ‘reel bad’ has been good for Arbaaz Khan. His flamboyant bad guy act in Qayamat has changed his fortunes overnight. Arbaaz, hitherto labelled as sexy Malaika Arora’s husband and Salman Khan’s other brother, has been flooded with roles – only that the sensible actor is not giving in to temptation.
"I’d be stupid to commit myself to a film just because it would get me more money. I’ve never been money-hungry and would rather do roles that I can relate to. If I have not been part of bad films so far I can avoid falling in the trap now. I have all the reason to be choosy – after Qayamat, I have good roles laid out for me,” he quips.

Arbaaz’s decision to switch gear and move on to TV may have been impulsive but he says it’s a wise decision. "Karishma– The Miracle Of Destiny is going to be a very big show. The script’s good and the best part is most of the actors are new on TV: Jugal Hansraj, Sanjay Kapoor, Arshad Warsi and I make our debut on the small screen with Karisma Kapoor. Television is a challenging medium: you have to hook attention in five minutes before the audience flips for the remote. Karishma... has a rich look, we’ve shot in Dubai and it looks like a film.”
In fact he was so impressed by Karishma... that he’s also promised to kick butt in a thriller on TV that “revolves around me”. And as he gets ready for more action on television, Arbaaz lends support to Salman in Sanghaar on big screen, plays the "perfect daddy to Arhaan", and tries to "spend quality time with Malaika”.
