Arist sculpts Moss in yoga pose

Artist Marc Quinn has created a white-painted bronze statue of supermodel Kate Moss.

Artist Marc Quinn had always believed that supermodel Kate Moss is as mysterious as the Sphinx. And now, he has created a white-painted bronze statue of hers to show the world just that.

The statue, which depicts Moss in an advanced yoga pose, will be on display in the Netherlands later this month.

Quinn said that he had tried to capture Moss’ mysterious quality that made her the ‘spirit of the age’.

“She is a contemporary version of the Sphinx. A mystery. There must be something about her that has clicked with the collective unconscious to make her so ubiquitous, so spirit of the age,” Hello magazine quoted him, as saying.
