Army Ordnance Corps Day observed

IN CONTINUATION with the Army Ordnance Corps Day celebrations, a grand function was organised in the Officer?s Mess of Central Ordnance Depot, Chheoki, collectively by all ordnance officers of Allahabad Station on the occasion of the 231st Army Ordnance Corps Day.

The occasion was graced by Air Marshal KD Singh, AVSM, Senior Air Staff Officer of the Central Air Command, Dr Lalit Verma, Commissioner, Allahabad division and sub area commander Brigadier SS Yadav. Other guests included high ranking defence and civil dignitaries.

Colonel Rajvir Singh, Commandant, Central Ordnance Depot, Chheoki, Col JP Tiwari, Commandant, OD Fort and Col KS Mahar, Commanding Officer, Infantry Division Ordnance Unit gave a warm welcome to all the guests.

A small entertainment programme was also put up exclusively by ordnance officers and ladies to showcase the talent of Ordnance, which enthralled the guests and the evening was a grand success, informed Wing Commander SM Sharma, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Defence, Allahabad, in a press release on Monday.
