Army to conduct field firing exercise in Budgam

The Army will carry out a five-day field firing exercise from July 20 in Tosamaidan and adjacent areas of Budgam in central Kashmir on Sunday.

The Army will carry out a five-day field firing exercise from July 20 in Tosamaidan and adjacent areas of Budgam in central Kashmir on Sunday.

"People living in Tosamaidan and its adjacent areas are advised not to make any movement and also restrict movement of their cattle within a vicinity of 30,000 feet as army will be carrying out field firing exercise at Tosamaidan range from July 20 to July 25", an official spokesman said on Sunday.

He said the the district administration had been informed that they will be carrying out the exercise daily from 7 AM to 1 PM and from 6 PM to 11 PM.

The villages adjacent to Tosamaidan, 45 kms from here have been identified as Lachmanpura, Khipura, Lasipora, Drang, Habar, Kadlabal, Khanpora, Shunglipora, Rugaun Kharian, Sutharan, Satgalipora, Chill, Gutlipora, Khandpora, Pakhanpora and Batapura.
