"Fortunately nobody was seriously injured," said AAP's Chandni Chowk candidate.

"Bottles were thrown from a building. A woman volunteer was addressing the sabha. People ran for security. Police immediately reached the spot," the former TV journalist said.

"Police immediately took control of the building and entire area was cordoned off. Senior officers also reached. I rushed . It could have been fatal," he said.

He said AAP volunteers showed tremendous courage and after 45 minutes the sabha started again with police around.

Ashutosh urged his "opponents" not to indulge in violence. "This is not democracy,we will not be scared and they can't scare us. Campaign will go on."

Ashutosh is pitted against Congress' Kapil Sibal, the sitting MP, and BJP's Harsh Vardhan from Chandni Chowk constituency.
