Attendants, wardboys clash at district hospital

Sharply reacting to the incident, the hospital employees locked the hospital and staged a dharna.

They demanded to lodge an FIR against the attendant of the patients and supporters of Yogi Adityanath. Police officials rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
According to a report, Kamini Gupta resident of Krishna Nagar Colony under Shahpur police station sustained injuries in celebration firing in a marriage party on Wednesday night.
Her mother-in-law and her son succumbed to the injuries on Thursday, Kamini was going under treatment at district hospital.
The X-ray of her shoulder was to be conducted on Friday and in a bid to earn commission, the wardboys and hospital employees were mounting pressure on the attendant to get the x-ray done from a private pathology.
However, the x-ray facility was available in district hospital also. Attendants of the patient levelled charges against the ward boys and irked over it, the ward boys thrashed the attendants.
Meanwhile, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath reached the district hospital to take care of some patients injured in an incident under Chiluatal police station decided to take care of Kamini Gupta and reached the ward but Kamini Gupta was not on her bed as the ward boys had sent her for the x-ray outside the hospital.
As Adityanath reached the ward, the attendants registered their complaint and said the commission and corruption was prevalent in the hospital. Adityanath directed the health employees to be sensitive with patients and to improve their functioning. When Adityanath was directing the health employees, some unidentified youths manhandled the ward boys and beat them resulting serious injuries to a ward boy Ram Kesh.
Reacting over the incident hospital employees locked the hospital and demanded to lodge FIR against Adityanath’s supporters and attendant of the patient.
Contrary to it, Adityanath lambasted the health department employees for their insensitive attitude with the patients and said the two persons of the same family succumbed to the injuries in the firing. The third injured is under treatment at district hospital and the health officials maintained apathetic attitude over the incident.
