THREE STUDENTS were caught using unfair means on the very first day of the Allahabad University's undergraduate final exams on Saturday. Around 51,000 students of both the varsity and all of its constituent colleges are appearing in the exams.

One of the culprits was nabbed at the varsity's commerce faculty campus itself while another student was caught at Iswar Saran Degree College by the members of the AU flying squad. One student was caught cheating at CMP Degree College by the college's own internal flying squad members, informed Prof HS Upadhyaya, AU Controller of Exams.
Earlier in the day, AUU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajen Harshe accompanied by a number of senior teachers including Dean (Science) Prof Hari Prakash, Dean (Law) Prof HN Tiwari, in-charge of AU Computer Centre Prof Satya Narayan, Commerce department's JN Mishra, Geography department's Prof BN Mishra took a round of the AU examination centres.
Prof Upadhyaya informed that no untoward incident has been reported during the course of the examinations from any of the centres.
