WITH VALENTINE’S Day drawing near, the Bajrang Dal said it would not tolerate ‘immodest behaviour’ of young couples on the day. Bajrang Dal convener Devendra Singh Rawat said that the outfit would take ‘necessary action’ to curb obscenity and check degeneration of Indian culture.
The girls caught in company of boys in public places will be taken back to their parents and the families would be given a lesson or two on traditional values of Indian culture.
On February 11, the Bajrang Dal activists would do the ‘shastra pujan’. On February 13, a rally will be taken out to warn the youths against imitating Western culture, said the Dal leaders at a press conference today.
On the V-Day, the activists will burn effigy of the Western culture and stop youths from celebrating the day. Asked whether it would be alright if the day was named Kamdev Diawas or called by any Indian name, the Dal leaders retorted that youths could not be allowed to celebrate February 14 even if the day was called by any other name.
