Bakrid on January 11: Muslim religious bodies

Eidul Azha (Bakrid) will be celebrated across the country on Jan 11 as the new moon of the Eid ul Azha was sighted on Sunday.

Eidul Azha (Bakrid) will be celebrated across the country on January 11 as the new moon of the Eid ul Azha was sighted on Sunday, Muslim religious bodies informed on Sunday.

This was informed by Mohammed Azhar Ranchi of Ruyat-e-Hilal Committee after a meeting following the sighting of the new moon, a release said in New Delhi.

Shahi Imam of the Fatehpuri mosque Maulana Mufti Mukarram also informed about the observance of Eidul Azha on January 11 in a separate release.
