"He is recovering fast under Dr (Robert) Morris' observation and his bandage would be removed in a few days. Operation has been successful to his damaged eye," Dr Rajagopalan told PTI over phone.

Although Dr Rajagopalan said it was too early to predict whether Baljit would regain his full vision or not, he expressed optimism about the Chandigarh lad's complete recovery.

"He has been kept in a recovery room after the operation. I am confident that he will regain his lost vision," he said.

Baljit had earlier through an SMS informed PTI that his operation was successful and he was being kept in a recovery room for two-days.
