Beckham ignited rumours that he was cheating on wife Victoria, and that he was having an extra-marital affair when he was snapped kissing a girl while he sat in his car. However, Beckham denied the reports saying that he was merely trying to avoid being rude to the woman by following the custom of kissing on both cheeks.

"They're very touchy feely. That was one of the problems with the story where the girl was getting my autograph because in Spain it's rude if you don't do two kisses," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

In 2004, Beckham's former aide Rebecca Loos claimed to have had an affair with the footballer, accusations he vehemently denied.
