Bhajan attributes victory to people

Bhajan Lal said that his party's priority would be development of Haryana.

Attributing his victory to the people of Haryana, state Congress chief Bhajan Lal today said that his party's priority would be to maintain peace, amity and over all development of the state.

"The landslide victory of Congress in the Assembly polls is endorsement of policies and programmes of Congress under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi by the people of the state," he told PTI over phone.

Bhajan Lal, who repeated his victory from his traditional Adampur seat, by defeating Rajesg Godara, parried question on coveted post of the chief ministership.

The veteran Congress leader, who is among the strong contendors for the post of chief minister, had ruled the state thrice.
