After a brief war of words with Shoaib Akhtar as a precursor to the ensuing tour across the border, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh delivered a doosra on Tuesday saying he was planning a musical gift to the Pakistani pace ace.
The Turbanator said he was planning to gift the Punjabi music album Gori, featuring himself along with pop singer Teji Sandhu to his 'friend-cum-foe' Akhtar during the Pakistan tour. The statement has come close on the heels of a wordy duel through the media between the two bowlers.
Harbhajan had ridiculed Akhtar's claim that Indian batsmen, especially Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar were scared of him. However, the offie seemed to be in a mood for reconciliation and said they were rivals on the ground, but out off it, were good friends.
He said he would also gift the Gori album to Shahid Afridi and other Punjabi members of Pakistan team. The album was released on Tuesday. On the Pakistan tour, Bhajji reiterated that this would certainly be an important series for both the teams and India would try their best to win the series to uphold the aspirations of the people.
"I wish that we win the series and celebrate the win performing bhangra on Gori songs."
