BHU earmarks eight ?summer hostels?

As per the notification, issued by dean of students Prof VK Kumra, the following hostels have been selected: Vivekanand Hostel, Vishweshwaraiya Hostel, IT Girls Hostel, Bal Gangadhar Tilak Hostel, Dalima Hostel, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel Hostel, Mahendravi Hostel and Ganga Hostel.

Prof Kumra also said that those research scholars who seriously wanted to continue with their research work during summer vacation should send their applications through their supervisors, head of department and respective dean of the faculty or director of institute and submit the same at the office of dean of students latest by May 12.

All the men students of the Institute of Technology will be given accommodation in Vivekanand and Vishweshwaraiya Hostels whereas the female students of IT will get accommodation in IT girls hostel. All the male students of the Institute of Agricultural Sciences will be given accommodation in Bal Gangadhar Tilak Hostel.

All the women students of the department of science, management studies, commerce and education will get accommodation in Dalmia Hostel. All the men research scholars of social science, arts and law will be accommodated in Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel Hostel.

All the men under-graduate and post-graduate students of arts, social sciences and research scholars of visual arts, performing arts and SVDV will be accommodated in Mahendravi Hostel.

The women students of all the departments and institutes, expect IT and IMS, will get accommodation at Ganga Hostel in Triveni Complex.

The students are required to vacate the university hostels within 48 hours of the completion of their respective examination.
