The BHU-PMT main examination would be conducted at five centres Social Science Faculty, Arts Faculty, Commerce Faculty, Mahila Mahavidyalaya and Ayurveda Faculty. As many as 2750 candidates, who were short-listed in the screening test, would appear in the main examination.
The examination would be conducted from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 20 observers would be deployed at all the five centres to ensure smooth conduct of the examination. The BHU administration would also conduct the videography of examination centres and no electronic gadgets would be allowed into the centre.
Identification of candidates would be made through thumb impressions. The results of the main examination would be declared within a week after the main examination. Chief Proctor of BHU, Prof SK Singh said all the five centres would be sealed during the examination. The screening test was conducted at Varanasi, New Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad centres on May 10. At least 33,650 candidates had appeared against 55 seats of MBBS in this prestigious all India level medical entrance examination.
As per the result of the screening test, 2100 (general category), 450 (SC category) and 200 (ST category) examinees were short-listed to appear for the BHU-PMT-2006 (Main Examination).
