The body of 20-year-old Kaushal Kumar, who went missing last week, was recovered on Sunday morning from a deserted bank of a river in Munger district, 150 kms from Patna, sources said. Kaushal's family members found his body.
Kaushal was a college student and his family had lodged a report last week fearing he was abducted.
People on Sunday protested against police's failure to rescue Kaushal.
In a separate incident, the body of Arvind alias Akash, a Class X student, was recovered from a house in a village near Patna on Friday, officials said. Arvind was kidnapped on January 7, when he was returning from a computer training centre.
The police had registered a case of abduction on January 13 after the victim's family received a ransom call from unknown abductors demanding Rs 1 million for Arvind's safe release. The police had arrested two people in this connection.
