Biocon gets Govt nod to market cancer drug

India's largest biotechnology firm Biocon Ltd. said that the Drug Controller General of India has granted approval to market its BIOMAb EGFR treatment for head and neck cancer in India.

The initial human clinical trials for its oral insulin molecule, IN105, have also begun and will be completed by the third quarter of fiscal 2006/07, Biocon said in a statement.
