BJP activists protest against price rise

They also torched the effigies of the Union Government, United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav.
As part of their protest, BJP workers sold food grains at low rates to the people.
The agitated Bharatiya Janata Party workers also demanded President APJ Abdul Kalam’s intervention. Addressing the workers, MLC Ashok Dhawan said that there was a sharp rise in prices of essential commodities during two years of UPA rule.

Former minister Mahendra Nath Pandey, Ravindra Jaiswal and party state executive council Ashok Pandey said that the Union Government should own up moral responsibility for its failure to check soaring prices and issue a white paper on the issue.

Laxman Acharya, Shanker Giri, Rakesh Singh, Rakesh Vashishtha, Gyan Prakash Mishra, Kashinath Akela, Laxman Jaiswal, Kanhaiya Seth, Rajesh Shah and Vikas Chaudhary were among those who addressed the dharna.
