"The participation of a large number of people in BJP rallies is itself reflecting that the party is for the first time marching towards power in the state," its vice president Shanta Kumar said while addressing public rallies at Vihapyr, Madeen, Nagri, Basholi in Kathua district.

He claimed the party will play an important role in government formation in the state.

He said the BJP will work to end "discrimination" against Jammu and make Jammu and Kashmir peaceful and prosperous as before.
