A local court had yesterday ordered registration of cases against Gehlot and four others in connection with a land scam, raised by BJP, which pertains to allotment of land to Babu Laxman Singh Gehlot Magic Art and Cultural Charitable Trust, named after Gehlot's father.

Reacting to Congress' statement that the decision to allot the land to the Trust had the then BJP's government concurrence, party spokesman Kailash Nath Bhatt in a press release today said if it was so then why this was not included in the enquiry commission headed by Justice N N Mathur.

"To make the enquiry more transparent the land scam should be enquired by the commission," he said.
