The party has the credit of sending to the august house the one and only Doctor of Philosophy, besides one Master
degree holder of the total of eight.

There are only 27 graduates. Of them, BJP has the major slice of 12. BJP, however, has sent to the house a member who has no school education.

Kunti Devi of the BJP is just a literate. She,however, has the distinction of winning the Jharia seat for the second
time.

Of the graduates, two are practising lawyers. While one is a Congress member, another belongs to the JMM.

There are thirty Matriculates and Intermediates. The number of BJP members is less in these two categories. JMM has
the maximum number of eight, followed by JVMP (7), Congress (6) and BJP (4) among others.

Six MLAs are school drop-outs. Of them two belong to the JMM and the remaining members have come from the Congress, BJP and RJD. One is an Independent.

According to the affidavits filed to the Election Commission, eight MLAs did not mention their educational
