Criticising the Pro-Tem speaker's decision, Naidu told reporters at the airport in Kolkata that if necessary the BJP might move the court to challenge such a move.

He said, "what is happening in Jharkhand now tantamounted to killing of democracy."

Balmuchu on Thursday served a notice under the anti-defection law to Ekka after his party complained that he had supported the NDA against its directives.

The former BJP president on way to Guwahati from Delhi charged the Congress and chief minister Shibu Soren with conspiring against the BJP and its allies in Jharkhand.
