BJP's national team interacts with tribal leaders

A national team of the BJP visited the city today and interacted with members of the party’s Adivasi Morcha units on issues pertaining to the tribals and implementation of programmes designed for them.

A national team of the BJP visited the city today and interacted with members of the party’s Adivasi Morcha units on issues pertaining to the tribals and implementation of programmes designed for them.

Party national president Nitin Gadkari has constituted a team to study the problems of the Scheduled Tribes and the implementation of programmes formulated by the State and the Central governments for the tribals.

The team headed by national convenor Bhupendra Yadav and former Union minister in NDA government Phagatsinh Fuleste had day long discussions, party sources said.

Gujarat forest Minister Mangubhai Patel, Ramsinh Rathwa, Mansukh Vasava, Kanjibhai Vasava , Bharatsinh Parmar (all BJP MPs) and leaders from Gujarat and Rajasthan took part in the discussion.

The team will submit a report to Gadkari suggesting measures for proper implementation of the Government programmes.

Talking to the newsmen at the end of the day long meeting , Fagan singh Kulste former union tribal minister said “Gujarat could become model for the other states where number of welfare programmes for the tribal community have been initiated including Rs 15,000 crore Vanbandhu yojna."
