BJP to raise custodial killing issue in assembly

Uttar Pradesh BJP on Wednesday said it will raise in assembly the issue of alleged killing of a person in police custody in the district.

Uttar Pradesh BJP on Wednesday said it will raise in assembly the issue of alleged killing of a person in police custody in the district.

State BJP president Ramapati Ram Tripathi, who visited the house of the victim on Tuesday, said his party would raise the matter in the Assembly as also demand five lakh as compensation and a government job for a family member of the deceased. One Jangbahadur was allegedly beaten to death on July 26 at a police station in Hanspuram locality.

Meanwhile, SP leader Nasearuddin said senior party leader Shivpal Yadav would visit the house of Jangbahadur soon.
Earlier, the district administration had ordered a magisterial probe into the matter.
