BJP wins Khairagarh assembly by-poll

BJP's Komal Janghel defeated his nearest rival Padma Devi Singh of Congress by a margin of over 15,900 votes in the by-poll, election officials said in Raipur.

Ruling BJP on Tuesday wrested the Khairagarh assembly seat from the Congress.

BJP's Komal Janghel defeated his nearest rival Padma Devi Singh of Congress by a margin of over 15,900 votes in the by-poll, election officials said in Raipur.

Khairagarh went to poll on June 2 after its sitting Congress MLA and husband of Congress candidate, Devwrat Singh was elected to Lok Sabha from Rajnandgaon.
