BMC collects over Rs 1 crore revenue

AS PART of the on-going drive of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation to recover taxes from tax-evaders, the BMC hass collected a whopping amount of Rs 1.21 crores towards revenue collections.
According to a release, the revenue collection drive acquired a fast pace after BMC Mayor Sunil Sood and its Commissioner Manish Singh passed orders to this effect.
The revenue collection team of the corporation has collected an amount of Rs 2.90 lakhs from Zone 1, Rs 5.33 lakhs from Zone 2, Rs 2.18 lakhs from Zone 3, Rs 17.95 lakhs from Zone 4, Rs 7.11 lakhs from Zone 5, Rs 10 lakhs from Zone 6, Rs 9 lakhs from Zone 7, Rs 8.24 lakhs from Zone 8, Rs 10 lakhs from Zone 9, Rs 5 lakhs from Zone 10, Rs 15 lakhs from Zone 11, Rs 3 lakhs from Zone 12, Rs 4.14 lakhs from Zone 13 and Rs 5.50 lakhs from Zone 14.
