Bodo militant gets police remand

National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militant Khargeswar Basumatary alias Rahul Brahma accused of October 30, 2008 serial blasts in Assam was remanded to police custody for four days by a local court on Sunday.

National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militant Khargeswar Basumatary alias Rahul Brahma accused of October 30, 2008 serial blasts in Assam was remanded to police custody for four days by a local court on Sunday.

Basumatary was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup, after he was arrested by the CBI at Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh on November 27.

He was allegedly involved in the blast at Panbazaar area in which 92 lives were lost.
